Land Preparation & Installation

At Andrew’s Turf Supplies, we understand the importance of preparing the site properly before laying turf. If a site is not prepared with care, then the grass roots will not have access to the water and nutrients that they need in order to flourish.

To properly prepare your site for your new lawn, our experienced team will first carefully clear the site by removing your existing lawn, as well as any weeds and debris such as sticks and rocks that may be left behind. Once this is complete, we will then turn the top layer of soil over, ensuring that it is at an even consistency. If the soil is too compact or has a clay base, we will add gypsum to break up the clay. For sand based soils, we add organic matter to improve growing conditions. To ensure that the site is in optimal condition for the new turf,  we will also test the soil to see if any additions need to be made to the soil, such as lime to increase pH levels. The area will then be covered with a high quality top soil that is evenly spread and firm. Once our team of lawn installation experts has carried out this process, your site will then ready for the new lawn to be installed.

Our team will professionally lay your lawn, as well as provide advice on how to maintain it, so that your lawn remains lush and green well into the future.
